Swim & Ride Experience
Have you always dreamed of swimming alongside friendly Pacific Bottlenose dolphins? Or getting a wet fishy kiss from one of these amazing mammals? Our small group half hour Swim and Ride Experience is a dolphin ride tour in Cabo that was created to make those dreams come true!
Up Close and Personal with Dolphins
Your Swim and Ride experience can be for the whole family! Everyone ages 4 and up can hug, play with and swim with one of our curious, silly and highly-trained dolphins. Not only are they fascinating; they’re also charming and just as excited to meet you as you are to meet them. Our crew of marine mammal specialists makes sure that your encounter is safe, fun and educational.
What Makes Our Swim and Ride Experience Different
Many dolphin ride tours are just for strong swimmers, but this encounter is perfect for the whole family because it offers the comfort of a shallow water platform plus an opportunity to enjoy an exciting swim encounter.
First, you’ll learn all about dolphin anatomy from one of the best teachers around – an energetic and friendly Pacific Bottlenose! You’ll feel its smooth and slippery skin as you give your dolphin a rub down, get to know one another through play and then rocket across the pool, belly to belly with one of these amazing marine mammals.
Why Swim with Dolphins?
Interacting with dolphins can leave a lasting impression on your heart. These lovable creatures are empathetic, sensitive and very curious – whether you communicate with hand signals or simply with a look, you will sense their deep intelligence.
Of course, swimming with dolphins in Cabo is exciting, too! Dolphins are playful, but they’re also majestic, and as you race across the pool with your dolphin you’ll experience a rush of adrenaline and a new appreciation for the variety of life that thrives in the sea.
Why Small Group Dolphin Ride Tours are Best
Dolphins enjoy interacting with people as much as we love interacting with them, but to ensure the health and safety of both our animals and our guests we limit the size and length of our tours. This ensures not only that our dolphins have plenty of time each day to relax, but also that all of our guests have plenty of time to interact with a dolphin! And because of this commitment, our safety and health records are second to none.

Dolphin Encounter
Experience the magic of bonding with dolphins in a family-friendly, small-group encounter that’s exciting and educational for swimmers and non-swimmers alike. You will meet a friendly Pacific Bottlenose dolphin on our safe shallow water lagoon and from there, it’s all about play!
For 20 wonderful minutes, you will discover so much about the Pacific Bottlenose from the best possible teacher – one of our own cheerful dolphins. You’ll have plenty of time to laugh and splash with your new dolphin friend as you learn to communicate using hand signals – just like our marine mammal trainers do. And when it’s time to say goodbye, chances are you’ll get a slippery dolphin smooch!
A Dolphin Encounter for All Ages
Our knowledgeable marine mammal specialists will watch over your group and guide you as you bond with a Pacific Bottlenose through touch, talk, and play. Children as young as one can give a dolphin’s slippery skin a rubdown and shake a flipper in this dolphin encounter tour, and older kids and grownups can even hug and play games with our dolphins.
Our Dolphin Encounter program begins with a short poolside introduction to our family of dolphins! The trainers overseeing your encounter will tell you all about the Pacific Bottlenose’s unique behaviors, fascinating anatomy, social lives and history with humans. From there, you’ll slide into the water where a dolphin will be waiting for you to introduce yourself so you can have some fun with one another.
Communicate Directly with the Dolphins
As part of this Dolphin Encounter tour, a marine mammal specialist will show you how to talk to a dolphin using the same hand signals that professional dolphin trainers use. From the comfort of our shallow water platform, you’ll be able to concentrate on communicating with a member of another species – which is a truly magical experience! You’ll discover that these curious creatures are just as interested in communicating with you as you are with them. As you talk to you dolphin, you will feel the warmth and sense the intelligence of what may just be the ocean’s friendliest creatures.
Dolphin Encounters Forge an Important Connection
Humans are making such a big impact on dolphin habitats and the only way to counteract that is with knowledge. Because these animals are so smart, friendly and fun, they’re the perfect ambassadors of the ocean! Cabo dolphin encounters give people a chance to interact closely with dolphins, and those who feel a bond with a Bottlenose want to keep our oceans healthy and do everything they can to protect marine life around the world. Our Dolphin Encounter tours have even inspired young people to become marine biologists!
Our Dolphins’ Wellbeing Is Our Focus
At Cabo Adventures, our family of dolphins spends no more than two hours per day interacting with our visitors so they can enjoy plenty of downtime. The Dolphin Encounter and other dolphin swim programs are short so we can be sure our dolphins have plenty of time to socialize with one another, play freely and relax in a private and fun environment. They also work with trainers daily (an important part of their enrichment), get regular checkups and eat a specially curated diet. Overall, we provide an exceptionally clean and stimulating environment for them to live and thrive in while providing a safe and stable setting for their social community (pods) and family to reproduce and grow.

Dolphin Kids
Nothing beats watching your child smile and laugh as they meet and become friends with a dolphin! Our Cabo Dolphin Kids tours are safe and fun, hands-on, small-group encounters designed to give young marine mammal enthusiasts the experience of being up-close with one of these amazing animals.
Our experienced marine mammal specialists are there to guide swimmers and non-swimmers alike as they play with and learn from our family of curious and intelligent Pacific Bottlenose dolphins in our specially-designed shallow water pool. And you get to enjoy it all from the comfort of our observation area, where you’ll see ear-to-ear smiles and hear giggles of delight as your kids enjoy the experience of a lifetime!
The Safest Dolphin Encounter in Cabo
You’ll be close by during the entire Dolphin Kids encounter, but your children will enjoy feelings of independence as they don life jackets and join our trainers in the pool. There, they’ll be greeted by the huge smiles and happy vocalizations of our family of highly-trained Pacific Bottlenoses. While some grownups can find dolphins intimidating, children typically feel comfortable with them right away because they share so many of the same traits: curiosity, playfulness and a love of all things silly!
Please note that all of our dolphin swim programs, including Dolphin Kids, have a well-established safety record and our aim is to make you feel as comfortable as possible. That way, you can spend the encounter watching your kids laugh and play with their new flippered friends.
Learning Through Play
There’s no better way to learn about life under the sea than from the animals who call that habitat home! Children who take part in our Dolphin Kids tours do more than just splashing around with a dolphin. As they pet and hug a Pacific Bottlenose, they’ll be learning about this animal’s unique anatomy firsthand. And when they shake a smooth fin or ask for a slippery dolphin kiss, they’ll be learning more about dolphin behavior. The goal of all of our dolphin swim and dolphin encounter programs is to give people – including kids – who love these animals a chance to learn more and to create a lifelong personal connection.
Knowledge Leads to Caring
Children who have a chance to swim with dolphins tend to care more about them and want to protect them from harm. When your child participates in Dolphin Kids, our family of dolphins works hard to give them a better understanding of why marine research and conservation is important. The children who meet a dolphin face to face and interact with these fascinating marine mammals are often inspired to do more to keep our oceans clean and healthy. Who knows! Perhaps after your Dolphin Kids encounter, your child will decide they want to become a marine mammal specialist!
