Villa La Estancia Los Cabos View From Lobby
The resort is conveniently located on Medano Beach (the swimming beach), less than a mile from downtown Cabo San Lucas; far enough away from town to have a peaceful and relaxing vacation, but close enough to easily take advantage of the great restaurants, shopping, nightlife, and activities.
The resort offers a Basic Meal Plan PLUS full access to the mini-bar in your villa as well as 24-hour room service (gratuity not included). Items such as lobster, T-bone steak, Kobe beef, or cognac are not available in the all-inclusive. All packages and prices can be requested through the front desk.
Yes. There is a poolside restaurant is open for breakfast and lunch. There is also an upscale restaurant with a daily dinner service.
The beachside restaurant has a wonderful pizza oven, a real treat for all. The deli, located in the mini-mall, offers great sandwiches, salads, desserts, some hot prepared foods, plus specialty coffee drinks and juices. There’s even an ice-cream stand. Cabo has many great restaurants.
We will be happy to provide our recommendations (and those of our former guests) when you book your reservation with us.

Yes. There is an executive fitness center and also a full spa. There is no charge for using the fitness center.

Yes, there are two private tennis courts and two additional courts at the adjacent resort (lighting available at a small charge).

Absolutely. You will be a guest of the owner of the Villa and may use all of the facilities at no charge.
There is a small charge for lighting the tennis courts at night. Additional costs would include spa services, food and beverages, and any activities you schedule. Please contact us with any specific questions.

The airport is at San Jose del Cabo (SJD). It is about a 40 – 45-minute drive. Please let us know if you would like us to prearrange transportation for you. Here are the current rates:

  • Shuttle service: The Community Shuttle is the slowest form of transportation to the resort, making several planned stops along the way.
  • “Regular” TAXI: Taxis are located at the airport but they take ‘the long way’ to the resort, via a toll road (maximum 5 passengers).
  • The private Suburban: (recommended) 7 passengers one-way Van: 10 passengers one-way Limo: 8 passengers.

When you reserve through the resort directly or another website such as Expedia or Hotel.com, one of the most common misconceptions is with regard to the one-bedroom unit. It is rented as a ‘hotel room’ when, in fact, there are no hotel rooms in the resort.

This ‘hotel room’ is comprised of a 2-bedroom, 3 bath condo, divided into two parts, Side ‘A’ (1 bedroom, 2 bath, kitchen, living and dining areas) and side ‘B’, known as a ‘lock-off’ (1 bedroom, 1 bath, with a separate entrance, 2 Queen Beds or 1 King Bed, depending on the unit).

This is often referred to as ‘The European Plan’ and the problem is both sides ‘A’ and side ‘B’ share a balcony, divided by a grass lattice screen.

A client renting through our website, Cabo La Estancia, will never need to share the balcony because we never rent out the ‘B’ side lock-off. We only rent the ‘A’ side, thereby, preserving your privacy. Other sites will not explain this fully and will rent both sides.

The benefits of reserving through Cabo La Estancia versus VRBO or other sites are significant:

  • When reserving through our website, you will always know which Villa you are renting – no surprises upon check-in. Cabo La Estancia monitors all units on a continual basis throughout the year and, therefore, will know which have been updated and upgraded and will separate the good from the bad.
  • Expedia, Travelocity, etc… These sites receive their inventory from the resort directly and operate as a hotel. Rates are typically much higher than reserving directly with us because these sites charge additional fees and taxes.
  • VRBO… While this site is a good resource for Villa owners, the downside for the renter is the lack of individual support; you are unable to speak to a live person prior to booking and VRBO assesses a fee at the time of rental. Many guests complain that when dealing with owners, directly, there is a lack of responsiveness.
  • Our rates are very competitive, if not the same as dealing directly with the owner and we provide live guest support 24/7 via one of our team members.
  • Our On-site Concierge Team is available to you prior to check-in and throughout your stay to assist with dinner reservations, private chef services, excursion reservations, and ground transportation referral
  • Our rates include all taxes, resort fees, and maid service – no surprises, no hidden fees

Because we are independent of the Resort’s onsite Sales Office/Developer Team, we have other listings available within La Estancia and the Cabo San Lucas area. Many units are, often, quietly listed and can be negotiated for a better deal.
The rates we will quote to you will be total. There is no charge for using the fitness center, tennis courts, and high speed Internet access (within the Villa) and WiFi in the pool area. Additional charges would include food, beverages, spa services, telephone calls, or activities that you schedule.
No. Almost everything is within walking distance or a short taxi ride. The taxi fare to Cabo is currently $9/one way for 4 people (a small additional charge for more people). Taxis are readily available and are vans so they will seat a large group. Some people do like to rent a car, which is convenient for shopping, golf, and perhaps a side trip to Todos Santos. Free parking is available at the resort.
Yes. Medano Beach is considered the swimming beach in Cabo. The beaches on the Pacific side have surf that is too rough for safe swimming. Most of the beaches along the “corridor” (the area between Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo) have significant rip currents and are not generally considered safe. There are some exceptions, but check this out if ocean swimming is important to you.

My husband and I recently returned from celebrating our 23rd wedding anniversary at Villa La Estancia, and once again, it felt like coming home. Every time we arrive, the resort staff greets us by name and welcomes us with the kind of warmth that makes each visit feel personal and unforgettable.

Phenomenal Vacation at Cabo La Estancia (Penthouse 1502) in CABO MEXICO

I shall first mention that my family and I spent several days searching for the perfect resort for our vacation, and we did extensive research on various standard and luxurious all-inclusive resorts with a swimmable beach in Puerto Vallarta and Cabo Mexico (there weren’t many with a swimmable beaches). We did lots of research on the internet, including several YouTube video reviews of the best resorts in Mexico (mainly Puerto Vallarta and Cabo).

After reviewing the various Resort options with good, above average and luxurious accommodations, beautiful beaches, beautiful gardens, various activities, amenities, restaurants, and prices that met our budget (etc.). We settled on Villa La Estancia, and it exceeded our expectations. Villa La Estancia is an amazing resort (First Rate), it is very well maintained/manicured, the entire staff provided excellent service (including the Pool staff).

The food at the various restaurants (including the Pantry/Deli), and the Food delivered through Room Service was very, very good, very delicious. La Casona was one of my favorites, they offer great breakfast options (although their Pancakes can be better), lunch and dinner (Their Steaks are exceptionally good, and all their side dishes, many options), their food (drinks and desserts) and service are superlative (Fine Dining experience).

Villa La Estancia is a first-rate Resort and SPA, with luxurious and very clean accommodations, exceptional service, beautiful beaches and landscape. The internet service was very fast (I also had to spend some time working, so it was important to have a fast reliable and secure internet connection).

Villa La Estancia is a 12-minute walk to downtown Cabo (a few minutes by car). The views are beautiful, the ocean, the beach, and the gardens are wonderful. My wife went to their SPA twice (Desert SPA) and her massages and treatments were among the best she has experienced (she has gone to many luxurious SPAs over the years).

Last, but certainly not least, I must mention that I booked my accommodations, and the all-inclusive meal packages through Cabo La Estancia (cabolaestancia.com). I am very grateful for the service and support I received from Giovanni Giammarco of Cabo La Estancia (and National Realty Group Inc.) and his entire Team, including Samantha and Dan Busila. Giovanni did a phenomenal job helping me find the perfect accommodation for my vacation (based on my requirements) at a price that was within my budget, and they provided a 15% discount on the all-inclusive meal package (including drinks). Giovanni and I spoke a few times, he was very responsive and addressed all my questions in a timely manner (and his staff did as well).

They have integrity, a very good and smooth process, and a strong relationship with La Estancia. Prior to booking through Giovanni and his Team, I contacted La Estancia directly, and they couldn’t provide the same discounts on the accommodations or the all-inclusive meal plans or guarantee a specific type of room (until check in). Through Cabo La Estancia, I was able to book the exact room that I wanted (based on availability) and helped to ensure that my arrival to La Estancia and check in was smooth and easy.

We stayed in PH 3603 – most likely the best penthouse in Cabo. We had 10 people including one smaller child and it slept everyone comfortably.

The Penthouse and the views were so amazing that we often took advantage of room service as part of the all-inclusive package so we could spend more time there.

Having built our dream home in the Cabo area, it was time to part with our beloved condo at Villa La Estancia, which we had owned since 2015. We had thoroughly enjoyed our time at Villa La Estancia and benefited from significant rental income when we weren’t using the unit, which made the decision to sell quite difficult. We finally listed the unit with Giovanni, expecting it to take about a year to receive a decent offer. To our surprise and delight, Giovanni called us just two weeks later with an acceptable offer. Every aspect of the sale has gone smoothly, and we commend Giovanni for making the process so quick and easy.

My sons, husband and I from the UK, just had the most amazing week in 1402. It feels like being in a 5 star spa hotel, with the luxury and independence of it being of our own full home. The support team for the villa both instantly available online and on site are second to none. Nothing was too much trouble, the team managed to arrange and source everything we asked for. The villa manager greeted us with home made dips, chips and a drink as we arrived, explained everything to us, the onsite team connected with us personally sharing their contact details so we always had help if needed (which we didn’t as everything was amazing) but knowing help was there was wonderful. The villa itself was spotless, so comfortable. The view is incredible, the facilities onsite second to none. The resort is so incredibly high quality with truly friendly caring staff. Everyone’s always hungry when we land and it is great to have something there to curb our appetites until dinner. It’s a very special touch.

We find we spend most of our time out on the deck because of the gorgeous views day and night. (an outdoor TV would be icing on the cake😉)

We also appreciate the full kitchen because we tend to have breakfast and lunch there and then make our way to a restaurant for dinner.

There were six of us staying there, and we felt really comfortable in terms of space. It really is like a nice sized home with the indoor/outdoor space.

Everything was wonderful. We are already talking about returning again next year, so hopefully it works out!
