The resort is conveniently located on Medano Beach (the swimming beach), less than a mile from downtown Cabo San Lucas; far enough away from town to have a peaceful and relaxing vacation, but close enough to easily take advantage of the great restaurants, shopping, nightlife, and activities.
The resort offers a Basic Meal Plan PLUS full access to the mini-bar in your villa as well as 24-hour room service (gratuity not included). Items such as lobster, T-bone steak, Kobe beef, or cognac are not available in the all-inclusive. All packages and prices can be requested through the front desk.
Yes. There is a poolside restaurant is open for breakfast and lunch. There is also an upscale restaurant with a daily dinner service.
The beachside restaurant has a wonderful pizza oven, a real treat for all. The deli, located in the mini-mall, offers great sandwiches, salads, desserts, some hot prepared foods, plus specialty coffee drinks and juices. There’s even an ice-cream stand. Cabo has many great restaurants.

Yes. There is an executive fitness center and also a full spa. There is no charge for using the fitness center.

Yes, there are two private tennis courts and two additional courts at the adjacent resort (lighting available at a small charge).

Absolutely. You will be a guest of the owner of the Villa and may use all of the facilities at no charge.
There is a small charge for lighting the tennis courts at night. Additional costs would include spa services, food and beverages, and any activities you schedule. Please contact us with any specific questions.

The airport is at San Jose del Cabo (SJD). It is about a 40 – 45-minute drive. Please let us know if you would like us to prearrange transportation for you. Here are the current rates:

  • Shuttle service: The Community Shuttle is the slowest form of transportation to the resort, making several planned stops along the way.
  • “Regular” TAXI: Taxis are located at the airport but they take ‘the long way’ to the resort, via a toll road (maximum 5 passengers).
  • The private Suburban: (recommended) 7 passengers one-way Van: 10 passengers one-way Limo: 8 passengers.

When you reserve through the resort directly or another website such as Expedia or Hotel.com, one of the most common misconceptions is with regard to the one-bedroom unit. It is rented as a ‘hotel room’ when, in fact, there are no hotel rooms in the resort.

This ‘hotel room’ is comprised of a 2-bedroom, 3 bath condo, divided into two parts, Side ‘A’ (1 bedroom, 2 bath, kitchen, living and dining areas) and side ‘B’, known as a ‘lock-off’ (1 bedroom, 1 bath, with a separate entrance, 2 Queen Beds or 1 King Bed, depending on the unit).

This is often referred to as ‘The European Plan’ and the problem is both sides ‘A’ and side ‘B’ share a balcony, divided by a grass lattice screen.

A client renting through our website, Cabo La Estancia, will never need to share the balcony because we never rent out the ‘B’ side lock-off. We only rent the ‘A’ side, thereby, preserving your privacy. Other sites will not explain this fully and will rent both sides.

The benefits of reserving through Cabo La Estancia versus VRBO or other sites are significant:

  • When reserving through our website, you will always know which Villa you are renting – no surprises upon check-in. Cabo La Estancia monitors all units on a continual basis throughout the year and, therefore, will know which have been updated and upgraded and will separate the good from the bad.
  • Expedia, Travelocity, etc… These sites receive their inventory from the resort directly and operate as a hotel. Rates are typically much higher than reserving directly with us because these sites charge additional fees and taxes.
  • VRBO… While this site is a good resource for Villa owners, the downside for the renter is the lack of individual support; you are unable to speak to a live person prior to booking and VRBO assesses a fee at the time of rental. Many guests complain that when dealing with owners, directly, there is a lack of responsiveness.
  • Our rates are very competitive, if not the same as dealing directly with the owner and we provide live guest support 24/7 via one of our team members.
  • Our On-site Concierge Team is available to you prior to check-in and throughout your stay to assist with dinner reservations, private chef services, excursion reservations, and ground transportation referral
  • Our rates include all taxes, resort fees, and maid service – no surprises, no hidden fees

Because we are independent of the Resort’s onsite Sales Office/Developer Team, we have other listings available within La Estancia and the Cabo San Lucas area. Many units are, often, quietly listed and can be negotiated for a better deal.
The rates we will quote to you will be total. There is no charge for using the fitness center, tennis courts, and high speed Internet access (within the Villa) and WiFi in the pool area. Additional charges would include food, beverages, spa services, telephone calls, or activities that you schedule.
No. Almost everything is within walking distance or a short taxi ride. The taxi fare to Cabo is currently $9/one way for 4 people (a small additional charge for more people). Taxis are readily available and are vans so they will seat a large group. Some people do like to rent a car, which is convenient for shopping, golf, and perhaps a side trip to Todos Santos. Free parking is available at the resort.
Yes. Medano Beach is considered the swimming beach in Cabo. The beaches on the Pacific side have surf that is too rough for safe swimming. Most of the beaches along the “corridor” (the area between Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo) have significant rip currents and are not generally considered safe. There are some exceptions, but check this out if ocean swimming is important to you.

We had researched a variety of properties in Cabo San Lucas and this particular property and especially specific Condo stood out! It did not disappoint! The view, location, service, comfort, the decor, work out facilities, pickleball courts, and on site restaurants were all FABULOUS! We do not say this very often and we are picky travelers. Our parents celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary this year and we are truly grateful for the experience of Villa 1502 to gather and honor their marriage. The staff, setting, views, accommodations and bookable experiences La Estancia had to offer made this trip one we will remember forever. We were able to cater-in a special evening dinner, order our groceries to the Villa and schedule cleanings based on our schedule. 12 out 10 stars to the hospitality staff who assisted in planning this vacation. Every detail was knocked out of the park. I have two small children and an infant and was able to request and rent all their needs in advance. Thank you for facilitating our stay at Villa 3401. This was my second booking of Villa 3401. I am impressed with the new décor and updates. I loved that the neutral tones of the new furniture and fixtures didn’t take away from 180-degree view of the turquoise ocean. The view from this Villa is unreal (hence my 2024 rebooking). The new patio furniture is high-quality and functional. The kitchen had everything we needed. This Villa is unique as not all units at La Estancia offer a private patio jacuzzi. The jacuzzi overlooks the ocean and the rocks that surround the famous Arch (you need to take a boat to see the Arch).

A lovely, unexpected addition to our booking of Villa 3401 was our very own on site property manager and private concierge.

My understanding is that they are exclusive to Villa 3401 (separate from the resort itself) to assist guests with whatever they may need during the stay. For example, they can provide information and recommendations about the area or excursions, reservations, or transportation. They can even arrange a chef to prepare in-villa meals or for a romantic dinner on the beach. They seem to be knowledgeable and well-connected, so please utilize them for whatever you need, or want. Huge thank you to all for making our stay top notch.

The resort and its staff are unmatched in service and hospitality. Please extend my gratitude to the pool staff as well.

Such a great view, super clean, & very friendly staff. We purchased the all inclusive meal plan (alcohol not included) which allowed us to enjoy meals at all three locations within this resort area. We highly recommend this option. We purchased alcoholic drinks occassionally, but went to Walmart to purchase our own alcohol. I would definitely recommend this location & we be visiting again in the near future.

Spectacular Penthouse

We are a family of 6 adults and 4 children. This place was perfect for us. So much space we never felt crowded. The patio was our favorite spot for relaxing and fireplace was used every night for after dinner drinks and fun. Kids loved shaded area during day (when they weren’t in the beautiful heated pool) for games. Dinners on patio were amazing – had private chef one night – food delicious. Thanks Sam! We had Sam arrange for groceries to be stocked before we arrived and that was so great to have everything after a long day of travel. A little disappointed the hot tub was gone but it didn’t change our opinion of the place that is beautifully decorated. We did do some kid proofing on some of the art work!! Delores the housekeeper was excellent too! We are now ruined for staying anywhere else – how do you come down?? We will be back. Mucho Gracias

Villa 1203 is incredible! A beautiful place for a relaxing vacation with plenty of space for a family or large group of friends. We loved having a large kitchen and en suite laundry! All of the bedrooms are spacious and nicely furnished.

The staff at La Estancia was great-from the ease of getting a taxi, fabulous waiters at the pool, and our wonderful concierge Samantha making reservations & ordering groceries prior to arrival made our trip! We will definitely be back!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Villa Estancia and this unit was just right for us! While many guests may not use the kitchen, we do! We found the kitchen well stocked, to a point. We’d love to see an upgrade of pans and knives but what they had sufficed. One note is that it was short on cleaning supplies which made cleaning the kitchen difficult. Some additional dishtowels, sponges, and paper towels would have been appreciated.

The onsite store was astronomically expensive! I think they would sell more if they were more reasonably priced. Go to Walmart and stock up on basics!

Giovanni Giammarco is an outstanding Real Estate agent to work with. He is a skilled listener and negotiator, with in-depth knowledge of the local markets. My husband and I listed our quarter-share villa with him and his team.

Great views and Relaxation!

The 4th floor location overlooks the pool and has ocean views. We spent most of our time on the balcony enjoying the the calm waves of the ocean, doing yoga or playing cards, we even saw fireworks!. The villa is large and very roomie. The three bathrooms were great to have for the family of 5.

I have stayed at Villa La Estancia 3 separate times and it is one of the best resorts along Medano beach. The staff and facilities are first class. Unit 1308 is a great unit. It has two massive bedrooms and on suite bathrooms with a large living room, kitchen and 3rd bath in between. These are all connected by a massive balcony with great views of the bay. Would definitely stay again.

We couldn’t be happier with our stay at Estancia! Our 11 day stay that included our 7 adult family members was amazing! Perfect view of every sunrise. Steps from the beach. The friendliest staff we’ve ever had at a resort. Walking distance to many restaurants in San Lucas. Plenty of golf courses within 40 minutes or less. Delicious food options on site.
