The resort is conveniently located on Medano Beach (the swimming beach), less than a mile from downtown Cabo San Lucas; far enough away from town to have a peaceful and relaxing vacation, but close enough to easily take advantage of the great restaurants, shopping, nightlife, and activities.
The resort offers a Basic Meal Plan PLUS full access to the mini-bar in your villa as well as 24-hour room service (gratuity not included). Items such as lobster, T-bone steak, Kobe beef, or cognac are not available in the all-inclusive. All packages and prices can be requested through the front desk.
Yes. There is a poolside restaurant is open for breakfast and lunch. There is also an upscale restaurant with a daily dinner service.
The beachside restaurant has a wonderful pizza oven, a real treat for all. The deli, located in the mini-mall, offers great sandwiches, salads, desserts, some hot prepared foods, plus specialty coffee drinks and juices. There’s even an ice-cream stand. Cabo has many great restaurants.
We will be happy to provide our recommendations (and those of our former guests) when you book your reservation with us.

Yes. There is an executive fitness center and also a full spa. There is no charge for using the fitness center.

Yes, there are two private tennis courts and two additional courts at the adjacent resort (lighting available at a small charge).

Absolutely. You will be a guest of the owner of the Villa and may use all of the facilities at no charge.
There is a small charge for lighting the tennis courts at night. Additional costs would include spa services, food and beverages, and any activities you schedule. Please contact us with any specific questions.

The airport is at San Jose del Cabo (SJD). It is about a 40 – 45-minute drive. Please let us know if you would like us to prearrange transportation for you. Here are the current rates:

  • Shuttle service: The Community Shuttle is the slowest form of transportation to the resort, making several planned stops along the way.
  • “Regular” TAXI: Taxis are located at the airport but they take ‘the long way’ to the resort, via a toll road (maximum 5 passengers).
  • The private Suburban: (recommended) 7 passengers one-way Van: 10 passengers one-way Limo: 8 passengers.

When you reserve through the resort directly or another website such as Expedia or Hotel.com, one of the most common misconceptions is with regard to the one-bedroom unit. It is rented as a ‘hotel room’ when, in fact, there are no hotel rooms in the resort.

This ‘hotel room’ is comprised of a 2-bedroom, 3 bath condo, divided into two parts, Side ‘A’ (1 bedroom, 2 bath, kitchen, living and dining areas) and side ‘B’, known as a ‘lock-off’ (1 bedroom, 1 bath, with a separate entrance, 2 Queen Beds or 1 King Bed, depending on the unit).

This is often referred to as ‘The European Plan’ and the problem is both sides ‘A’ and side ‘B’ share a balcony, divided by a grass lattice screen.

A client renting through our website, Cabo La Estancia, will never need to share the balcony because we never rent out the ‘B’ side lock-off. We only rent the ‘A’ side, thereby, preserving your privacy. Other sites will not explain this fully and will rent both sides.

The benefits of reserving through Cabo La Estancia versus VRBO or other sites are significant:

  • When reserving through our website, you will always know which Villa you are renting – no surprises upon check-in. Cabo La Estancia monitors all units on a continual basis throughout the year and, therefore, will know which have been updated and upgraded and will separate the good from the bad.
  • Expedia, Travelocity, etc… These sites receive their inventory from the resort directly and operate as a hotel. Rates are typically much higher than reserving directly with us because these sites charge additional fees and taxes.
  • VRBO… While this site is a good resource for Villa owners, the downside for the renter is the lack of individual support; you are unable to speak to a live person prior to booking and VRBO assesses a fee at the time of rental. Many guests complain that when dealing with owners, directly, there is a lack of responsiveness.
  • Our rates are very competitive, if not the same as dealing directly with the owner and we provide live guest support 24/7 via one of our team members.
  • Our On-site Concierge Team is available to you prior to check-in and throughout your stay to assist with dinner reservations, private chef services, excursion reservations, and ground transportation referral
  • Our rates include all taxes, resort fees, and maid service – no surprises, no hidden fees

Because we are independent of the Resort’s onsite Sales Office/Developer Team, we have other listings available within La Estancia and the Cabo San Lucas area. Many units are, often, quietly listed and can be negotiated for a better deal.
The rates we will quote to you will be total. There is no charge for using the fitness center, tennis courts, and high speed Internet access (within the Villa) and WiFi in the pool area. Additional charges would include food, beverages, spa services, telephone calls, or activities that you schedule.
No. Almost everything is within walking distance or a short taxi ride. The taxi fare to Cabo is currently $9/one way for 4 people (a small additional charge for more people). Taxis are readily available and are vans so they will seat a large group. Some people do like to rent a car, which is convenient for shopping, golf, and perhaps a side trip to Todos Santos. Free parking is available at the resort.
Yes. Medano Beach is considered the swimming beach in Cabo. The beaches on the Pacific side have surf that is too rough for safe swimming. Most of the beaches along the “corridor” (the area between Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo) have significant rip currents and are not generally considered safe. There are some exceptions, but check this out if ocean swimming is important to you.

Upon arriving in the lobby for our stay we were greeted by Eduardo, and from that moment on, everything was absolutely incredible! I don’t think there’s many places to stay in the world that provide a view and an experience like what we had in our Villa. The outdoor living space was even better than in the pictures. We can’t say enough about everyone that took care of us – Julietta’s meals were absolutely amazing (especially her fish tacos, flank steak and delicious omelets)! And Eduardo put us at ease by keeping in close contact with us daily, and went above and beyond to make certain our vacation plans were seamless, taking care of all our dining and adventure needs throughout the entire week. We can’t wait to book our return to Cabo la Estancia and reunite with Eduardo and his outstanding team – we’ll definitely be back!

Giovanni’s staff was very helpful and accomodating. The Villa was clean, well appointed and had the most amazing view. Waking up to the view every morning was my absolute favorite. The location of the Villa within the resort was so convenient. Just steps away from the beach and the pool, you are always within reach of all the action. We cooked several meals during our stay including the use of the grill twice. There was not a single untensil that we needed that was not stocked. This was probably the most well stocked rental we have ever stayed in. We loved every single second of our time at this property and in this Villa and will definitely return.

It’s almost impossible to imagine a nicer place to stay in Cabo. The Villa is gorgeous and gigantic, with all the amenities one could ask for. The big highlight is the enormous and beautiful outdoor deck, with all sorts of great seating arrangements, a hot tub and grill, and a beautiful view of the water. My family spent so much time having fun in the pool and in the ocean that I actually regretted not spending more time relaxing at the Villa itself, which is a rare feeling for vacation! (How often do you think to yourself, “I wish I had spent more time in my hotel room.”) In any event, I would stay here again in a heartbeat, and at this point it’s probably ruined every other Cabo option for me.

Wonderful vacation. This was definitely one of the best, if not the best condo we have rented. Had everything: comfortable beds, big patio with grill, washer / dryer full size, full kitchen and three full bathrooms. All appliances, linens, soaps, artwork/decorations were top notch. Recommend to pre-order some groceries. Resort staff were very helpful. Beach and pool area were nice and complex convenient to downtown (short taxi/Uber). We have teenagers and they enjoyed. Drinks by the poolside were a bit pricy so be careful; this not surprising as most resorts similar. Overall, had a great Vacation and would absolutely stay here again.

After going to Cabo for the first time my wife and I fell in love with not only the Sea of Cortez, fine dining, and friendly people but also with the Villa la Estancia. Those that have experienced the spa, five-star restaurants, pools, and private beach realize the absolute relaxation and tranquility that the resort holds. Before we even boarded our plane to return to Montana, we had contacted Giovanni and his team regarding the potential ownership of a unit.

My wife and I are very detail-oriented and began to ask more questions (e.g. Regarding Mexican law, HOA bylaws, renting out the space, etc) than most agents would be willing to field yet Giovanni spent countless time researching each and every question and supplying us with as much information as we needed. He also was our rock as we traversed through the ambiguity of buying in Mexico and provided reassurance to two very anxious buyers as the process went through.

Giovanni’s team went out of their way to assist us in understanding the nuances of ownership and introduced us to our co-owners, the HOA administrators, and gave us helpful tips for living in Cabo.

Heaven on Earth!

My family recently enjoyed a luxurious and relaxing stay in Villa 1502 at Cabo La Estancia. The villa is five-star – very well-appointed, beautifully decorated, comfortable beds, a large and inviting living space, and the terrace was simply breathtaking. Wrap around views of the coastline, the famous Cabo Arch, and the expansive turquoise waters where the Sea of Cortez and the Pacific Ocean meet. We spent many hours on the terrace, watching the sun rise, taking in the sun-filled view, enjoying the sea breeze, and sipping a cool cocktail. It was a week we soon won’t forget, and we feel lucky to have experienced such a beautiful place. Highly, highly recommend!

We booked Villa 2502 & Penthouse 2801 for our wedding. This villa was everything we needed and more! Giovanni could not have made the booking process any easier or more enjoyable! We used 2502 for sleeping & getting ready in. It was a fantastic & roomy set up for all the girls. The balcony view made for beautiful pictures & was perfect for morning coffees. We used the penthouse for family & the penthouse balcony for the ceremony. The wedding coordinators, Perla & Abril, took care of everything & it was flawless! Reception on the beach below Estancia was the icing on the cake. Everything from the food to the hospitality was incomparable to anywhere else we’ve stayed. Fantastic job by the Villa Group! WE loved every minute of our trip. We all agreed it will be difficult to live like regular people after a week living like rock stars!! There was 4 couples and this villa was spectacular and made us feel like royalty!! The patio was EVERYTHING and where we spent most of our time….. Samantha was fantastic and helped us secure a private chef to cook the fish my husband caught on fishing trips…. we all agreed we should have used the private chef more as it was so delicious and more cost effective for our group. They came in, cooked, served and cleaned up everything so we could relax and enjoy time together on the patio….. This was definitely a perfect way to celebrate my husbands 50th birthday. The views were spectacular from the villa. We were even blessed with a full moon on our last night of our trip!!

The resort was beautifully manicured. The condo was exquisitely decorated and had a wonderful, large sectional couch for us to lounge on. The kitchen was stocked nicely with great pots and pans but missing a soft spatula to scrape the sides of a bowl. The beds were soft and extremely comfortable with fluffy comforters on top. It made me not want to get up in the morning. The view from the balcony was fabulous just like the pictures showed. You would not be disappointed to stay in condo 1604. The pool area was quiet with not too many kids. Thank you Giovanni and team.
