The resort is conveniently located on Medano Beach (the swimming beach), less than a mile from downtown Cabo San Lucas; far enough away from town to have a peaceful and relaxing vacation, but close enough to easily take advantage of the great restaurants, shopping, nightlife, and activities.
The resort offers a Basic Meal Plan PLUS full access to the mini-bar in your villa as well as 24-hour room service (gratuity not included). Items such as lobster, T-bone steak, Kobe beef, or cognac are not available in the all-inclusive. All packages and prices can be requested through the front desk.
Yes. There is a poolside restaurant is open for breakfast and lunch. There is also an upscale restaurant with a daily dinner service.
The beachside restaurant has a wonderful pizza oven, a real treat for all. The deli, located in the mini-mall, offers great sandwiches, salads, desserts, some hot prepared foods, plus specialty coffee drinks and juices. There’s even an ice-cream stand. Cabo has many great restaurants.

Yes. There is an executive fitness center and also a full spa. There is no charge for using the fitness center.

Yes, there are two private tennis courts and two additional courts at the adjacent resort (lighting available at a small charge).

Absolutely. You will be a guest of the owner of the Villa and may use all of the facilities at no charge.
There is a small charge for lighting the tennis courts at night. Additional costs would include spa services, food and beverages, and any activities you schedule. Please contact us with any specific questions.

The airport is at San Jose del Cabo (SJD). It is about a 40 – 45-minute drive. Please let us know if you would like us to prearrange transportation for you. Here are the current rates:

  • Shuttle service: The Community Shuttle is the slowest form of transportation to the resort, making several planned stops along the way.
  • “Regular” TAXI: Taxis are located at the airport but they take ‘the long way’ to the resort, via a toll road (maximum 5 passengers).
  • The private Suburban: (recommended) 7 passengers one-way Van: 10 passengers one-way Limo: 8 passengers.

When you reserve through the resort directly or another website such as Expedia or Hotel.com, one of the most common misconceptions is with regard to the one-bedroom unit. It is rented as a ‘hotel room’ when, in fact, there are no hotel rooms in the resort.

This ‘hotel room’ is comprised of a 2-bedroom, 3 bath condo, divided into two parts, Side ‘A’ (1 bedroom, 2 bath, kitchen, living and dining areas) and side ‘B’, known as a ‘lock-off’ (1 bedroom, 1 bath, with a separate entrance, 2 Queen Beds or 1 King Bed, depending on the unit).

This is often referred to as ‘The European Plan’ and the problem is both sides ‘A’ and side ‘B’ share a balcony, divided by a grass lattice screen.

A client renting through our website, Cabo La Estancia, will never need to share the balcony because we never rent out the ‘B’ side lock-off. We only rent the ‘A’ side, thereby, preserving your privacy. Other sites will not explain this fully and will rent both sides.

The benefits of reserving through Cabo La Estancia versus VRBO or other sites are significant:

  • When reserving through our website, you will always know which Villa you are renting – no surprises upon check-in. Cabo La Estancia monitors all units on a continual basis throughout the year and, therefore, will know which have been updated and upgraded and will separate the good from the bad.
  • Expedia, Travelocity, etc… These sites receive their inventory from the resort directly and operate as a hotel. Rates are typically much higher than reserving directly with us because these sites charge additional fees and taxes.
  • VRBO… While this site is a good resource for Villa owners, the downside for the renter is the lack of individual support; you are unable to speak to a live person prior to booking and VRBO assesses a fee at the time of rental. Many guests complain that when dealing with owners, directly, there is a lack of responsiveness.
  • Our rates are very competitive, if not the same as dealing directly with the owner and we provide live guest support 24/7 via one of our team members.
  • Our On-site Concierge Team is available to you prior to check-in and throughout your stay to assist with dinner reservations, private chef services, excursion reservations, and ground transportation referral
  • Our rates include all taxes, resort fees, and maid service – no surprises, no hidden fees

Because we are independent of the Resort’s onsite Sales Office/Developer Team, we have other listings available within La Estancia and the Cabo San Lucas area. Many units are, often, quietly listed and can be negotiated for a better deal.
The rates we will quote to you will be total. There is no charge for using the fitness center, tennis courts, and high speed Internet access (within the Villa) and WiFi in the pool area. Additional charges would include food, beverages, spa services, telephone calls, or activities that you schedule.
No. Almost everything is within walking distance or a short taxi ride. The taxi fare to Cabo is currently $9/one way for 4 people (a small additional charge for more people). Taxis are readily available and are vans so they will seat a large group. Some people do like to rent a car, which is convenient for shopping, golf, and perhaps a side trip to Todos Santos. Free parking is available at the resort.
Yes. Medano Beach is considered the swimming beach in Cabo. The beaches on the Pacific side have surf that is too rough for safe swimming. Most of the beaches along the “corridor” (the area between Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo) have significant rip currents and are not generally considered safe. There are some exceptions, but check this out if ocean swimming is important to you.

Unit 1604 - Pefection!

My two college-aged daughters and I were fortunate to stay in Villa #1604 for 8 days in early January 2023. It was perfect. The villa is lovely, spacious, and comfortable, with everything you need and more. Well-thought-out design, large balconies, and incredible views. Giovanni, Samantha, Dan, and Victor our driver, were all accommodating. The resort is lovely and relaxing with an amazing staff. Downtown was close enough to be easily accessible but far enough for a peaceful vacation … just what we were looking for! We will stay here again.

We highly recommend these activities: horseback riding with Amigos Activities, and whale watching with Whale Watch Cabo, All on the Cabo La Estancia website. We also rent a car for a day trip to Todos Santos and Los Cerritos Beach… a low-key and friendly beach that is great for walking and surf lessons! Thank you Giovanni for all your recommendations!

This was our first time to stay at Villa La Estancia and we were very impressed. The resort is meticulously maintained, and the staff provided great service. We stayed in oceanfront Villa 3301. The Villa was recently updated with beautiful new furniture and furnishings. The current pictures as of 1-16-2023 online show the old furniture. The unit is very spacious and has beautiful views. The was also our first time booking through Giovanni and Team (National Realty Group). They were great to work with and everything was as advertised. We had a wonderful family vacation. Thank You!

We can’t say enough about how wonderful Villa 2502 and our visit to Cabo was the end of October 2022! Everything was effortless and flawless- from booking with Giovanni, airport transportation with Victor, the beautifully decorated and appointed villa, and Samantha’s special touches for our daughter’s 16th birthday, it will truly be a trip not to be forgotten! The recommended activities and restaurants (thanks Samantha!) did not disappoint and we loved it so much, we are returning with two other families for Spring Break in April.

The location of this condo was perfect. Villa La Estancia is perfect. Given that you can access all three resort amenities, there is so many food choices. A short beach walk will get you to livelier daytime destinations if that is what you’re looking for. Or stay put for lazy days by the pool. Carla met us at check-in and took us through the property details as she made us margaritas! Will try and stay here again if/when we return to beautiful Cabo!

Wow!! What a great unit and a great property. The owner was super-responsive and attentive. The unit was amazing – tons of room and well furnished. Having the pool steps away from the patio was so convenient. View of Lands End from the patio. And Estancia is a great property. It was nice enough to stay there & not leave, but when we did leave the location was great – we quickly learned we could easily walk to most restaurants. I would book this unit and property in a heartbeat!!

This is a fine property–what we expected to find. However, what we didn’t expect to fine is that the owner was outstanding, going overboard to help us. He not only had some basic provisions available to us, such as salt, pepper, catsup, mustard, vinegar, etc., but a whole array of spices. He assisted when I needed contact info and even had the boat broker call me to make arrangements for our yacht trip. We deeply appreciated his concern and care.

Villa 1604 is beautiful with an exquisite view and all of the amenities of a home. Our family of four found the Villa to be more than enough space for us.

The beds were very comfortable and the three full bathrooms allowed all of us to get ready with nobody in each other’s way.

The kitchen was fully stocked with anything you should need and a nice pantry with a few items that has been left behind by previous guests. Paper towels, toilet paper, laundry detergent, hand soap, body wash, and shampoo were all available for us to use.

Our daughters were happy to find many pool floats available. There were many books to choose from as well. The maid service thoroughly cleaned our Villa every other day and did a fantastic job.

The concierge, Samantha, communicated with us many times and is available to make dinner reservations should you need them. The food at all the restaurants was fantastic and we also enjoyed one night of room service. We took Ubers downtown several times for dinner and it only cost around $6-$7 each way and was only about a 10-minute drive to the marina.

The entire staff was amazing, especially around the pool. We enjoyed the convenience of the pool bar and restaurant by the pool.

Food and drinks were always perfect! We will be staying at this resort every time we visit Cabo from now on.

I have stayed at other penthouses before and this one was both charming and luxurious. The sunrise and sunset views are awesome. Our group enjoyed staying upstairs on the sun deck and going down to the pool, equally as fun. We had a dinner party with a chef and staff that was out of this world. We will DEFINITELY be back soon.

Penthouse 3502 far exceeded my expectations. Every detail of this space was beautifully designed. From the decor to the indoor and outdoor living spaces. The sunrise and ocean views were spectacular. All of the amenities were useful. The property manager was always available and accessible. I would highly recommend this Penthouse if you are looking for a spectacular experience.
